Developers Giving Back to the Community

IndyGiveCamp Charity Challenge Weekend 2009 is an initiative designed to allow developers, designers, DBAs and web enthusiasts to donate their time and talent to developing applications for charities.

IndyGiveCamp is a 3-day charity event that pairs charities and local software developers. Similar events have taken place in Michigan, Minnesota, Kansas, and Texas.

Charities often do not have the funds to implement a new website, intranet or database solution. Software developers often do not volunteer for charities because their skills do not apply. This event is the perfect marriage of these two needs; software developers accepting the challenge by volunteering their time to help charities, who in turn can better serve their community though the latest technology.

Download the IndyGiveCamp Poster and form a team with your peers, then sign up. You will be joining dozens of professional developers, DBAs, designers, architects, and project managers to help more than a dozen charities in Central Indiana. IndyGiveCamp will take place on the campus of Interactive Intelligence on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

IndyGiveCamp is a member of the GiveCamp alliance.
